Jan Tore Meren will continue as chairman after the annual meeting of Norwegian Wood Cluster. Communications Director Magne Vikøren, Moelven Industrier ASA, will be the new deputy chairman, while Factory Director Glenn Andre Jensen, Bergene Holm AS, and CEO Kristian Hanssen, Forestia, will be new board members. Kristian Hanssen, Forestia, become new board members in the cluster.

In just a few days, Moelven Byggmodul will deliver the first modules to Ukraine. The result of a 2-year pilot project. At the owners' meeting of Norwegian Wood Cluster, CEO Frode Henning Killi shared his experiences of the process. "This is a meaningful job for both the company and the employees," said Killi.

The main objective of the Heartwood project has been to improve the skills of employees in the woodworking industry, with special emphasis on lifelong learning, digitalization and advanced manufacturing. On June 20, the project held its closing conference.

The "Circular lumber foil" project is well underway and involves an entire value chain. "We want real collection and testing to find out how this can be solved practically and whether the quality of the recycled plastic is good enough," says logistics manager Paul Erik Hattestad at Gausdal Landhandleri.

Hersleth AS has been accepted as a member of the Norwegian Wood Cluster. The company, which has enjoyed steady growth over more than three decades, is now investing heavily in short-distance elements from its own local factory and solid wood - with support from Innovation Norway.
