The "Circular lumber foil" project is well underway and involves an entire value chain. Hersleth AS has been accepted as a member of the Norwegian Wood Cluster. The company, which has enjoyed steady growth over more than three decades, is now investing heavily in short-distance elements from its own local factory and solid wood - with support from Innovation Norway.

How do we achieve reuse in practice in construction projects, and how does this affect the climate accounts and the economy? This was the backdrop when the Climate-friendly Buildings Inland project invited the construction industry in Inland to a professional gathering on April 2, 2025.

Together with seven companies, Norwegian Wood Cluster has started a new project that will contribute to reduced resource consumption and increased circularity of plastics in the wood and construction industries. - "We hope for good results that show that the solution can be scaled up," says project manager Håvard Sørlie of Norwegian Wood Cluster.

When Sirkula IKS and Østlandet Gjenvinning establish their reuse center for building materials in Innlandet next year, they will be the first in the area with an offer that will be of great importance in the market.
