The new facility at Bergene Holm's Haslestad branch minimizes waste - "This is how we curb waste throughout the value chain and take care of the raw material. - "Wood accounts for 10% of the waste we handle. Through collaboration in the cluster, we hope to develop alternatives to using wood for energy recovery," says Katrine Gilje Aalstad, head of Innsikt, which is a collaboration between five inter-municipal waste management companies.

Wood can withstand moisture - if it is given the opportunity to dry out again. Norwegian Wood Cluster and Construction City Cluster (CCC) will develop an industry guide with useful knowledge about building safely and durably.

The recent study trip to the Norwegian Wood Cluster in the Kristiansand area included a stop at Aanesland Treindustri in Lillesand. There, an enthusiastic chairman of the board, Gunnar Adolf Aanesland, talked about the factory's history and the conscious focus on reuse solutions in recent years.
