
We know that environmental documentation is perceived as a complicated area with many abbreviations. One such abbreviation is EPD (Environmental Product Documentation). Another abbreviation is LCA (Life Cycle Assessment).
To give you insight into the area of environmental documentation, we now offer a basic course in the subject.
The main target group for the course is small and medium-sized companies that have not previously developed an EPD. The course should, among other things, be relevant to the companies’ general managers.

Course holders
Consultant Johann Kristian Næss, Treteknisk, has cutting-edge expertise in the areas of environmental properties, life cycle assessments and EPD, and performs analysis work for the “TRE-Standard 2.0” project. Technical Manager Monika Ulimoen, Treindustrien, has extensive experience from the consulting industry and has worked as an energy consultant and responsible building physicist in various construction projects. She is project manager for the “TRE-Standard 2.0” project.

TRE-Standard 2.0
The course is part of the project “TRE-Standard 2.0”, which is supported by Innovation Norway and Stiftelsen Byggskolen.
The “TRE-Standard 2.0” project provides, among other things, a technical basis for improving the methodology underlying the climate calculation of wood materials and offers courses and workshops to increase the expertise of Norwegian woodworking companies in the field of standardization.
The project is owned by the Norwegian Wood Cluster and is being carried out in close collaboration with Treteknisk and Treindustrien. Other partners in the project are the companies Dynea AS, Forestia AS, Gausdal Treindustrier ASA, Hunton Fiber, Inntre Kjelstad AS, Moelven Industrier ASA and Stangeskovene AS, as well as the clusters Wood Works! and Innotre.
